Storage Solutions for Kids

Sort & Store Toy Organizer by Honey Can DoIt would be fascinating to return and see the world from a child’s perspective. The couch, mommy’s and daddy’s legs, certain dogs – all of them would be taller than you. You’d be looking forward to the day you could lift a gallon of milk and put it on the high shelf in the fridge. Your kids’ view of the world is very different from yours, and so their storage tools should be as well.

As a parent, it’s your job to teach your children the concept “A place for everything, and everything in its place.” But for your children to put things in the proper place, they’ll need to be able to access it. If their drawers or cubbies are too far off the ground, they’re going to try to pull it all the way out to see what’s inside, and probably dump the whole thing on the floor. When you select a storage container, choose one that you can customize to your child’s height, or one with sloped buckets so that they can see the contents.

If you find that your storage has already filled up, you can start rotating toys every three months or so. Not only will it keep the toys fresh and exciting for your kids, but it will also reduce wear and tear and keep the toys lasting longer.

Happy organizing!
